
We are proud of our wonderful and dedicated staff at La Canada Preschool. Debbie Bacino, the school director, will be working as a teacher in the all the classrooms this fall. In the morning our teachers will be Hana Greenberg, Tony Ojinaga, Pam Carroll, Jamie Howard, Lauren Fujikuni,as well as Debbie Bacino. Our Pre-Kindergarten program in the afternoon will be taught by Diana Given, Susan Seccombe, Tony Ojinaga, Jamie Howard and Marly WIlkinson.
Tony Ojinaga has his AA degree in Early Childhood Education from Pasadena City College, and has been a preschool teacher for twelve years. He has also worked at the Crescenta Canada YMCA, as well as the Disney Child Care Center. It is special to have a guy at an early childhood educational setting.
Pam Carroll has been a preschool teacher for thirty years, and comes to us after her retirement from Glendale Community College, where she taught in their lab school for the seventeen years. Prior to that she faciliated her own child care program in her home. Pam’s education consists of her certificate in Early Childhood Education from Glendale College.
Susan Seccombe has worked with our school for the past five years and is a great support to our program. She has her education in early childhood education from Mission Junior College where she has 24 units completed.
Diana Given has been a director of a preschool as well as a preschool teacher for over 20 years. She has her certificate in Early Childhood Education from Glendale College, as well as years of volunteering with children through her church.
Jamie Howard has been teaching with us for the last seven months and is a student at CSUN majoring in psychology and education. She has been a director of programs at the Crescenta/Canada YMCA as well as a nanny.
Lauren Fujikuni is a graduate of UC Irvine with a degree in education. She is a La Canada resident and loves the community as well as her work with children.
Marly Wilkinson is the newest staff member. She worked in a preschool while attending college in upstate New York, and is looking forward to working in the afternoons in the Pre-K.
