Remember Picture Days are Wednesday October 28 for the Morning Students and Thursday October 29 for the Morning Students and the Pre-K Students. We will not be having an messy art or play these days, so feel free to send your child to school in their finest clothes. In fact we all dress up on Picture Days, even the teachers.
We will be offering free eye exams as part of a study being conducted by USC here at LCP on October 20 and 21. Please look for a detailed flyer that will be passed out next week. This wonderful opportunity will be available to siblings as well, who are between 6 months and 6 years old. PLUS for being a part of the study each family will be given a $25.00 gift card to Target:) This is optional and being offered as a way of bringing a service to your family in support of your child’s health care. Please come join us for our annual Back to School Family Day on Saturday October 17 from 9: 00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. This is a morning for your family to come in, meet the teachers, and get to know us better. We will have the childrens art work on display, a book fair presented by Once Upon a time Book Store, and a morning for your child to bring you to preschool:) This is a drop in event, so please come by and see us at La Canada Preschool.
We are in full swing with our Fall curriculum. Look for Spiders on Webs, lots of variations of Pumpkins, Bats, and Haunted Houses in our art work.
We do not have the children come to school in costumes, as we believe it can be scary for some of our preschoolers and not age appropriate in a school setting. The children may bring a picture of themselves in their costume for Sharing Day on Mondays and Tuesday in the morning and Monday and Wednesday in the Pre-K.
